Stage payments
Once you have seen the property you wish to purchase you will need to go through payment stages for new-builds and resale properties. The following table gives a basic guide of the structure of stage payments.
Resale
- The reserve: Is the amount to reserve the property and for it to be taken immediately away from sale. It also gives the buyer time to organize, any travel, bank transfers of deposit etc. Plus it enables the lawyer to check that the property is okay for receiving the 10% deposit
- €3000 upon signing the reserve contract for all properties regarding it’s price
- + 30 days: The deposit of 10% minus the reserve fee.
- Balance: On completion at the Notary.
New Build
- The reserve: Is the amount to reserve the property and for it to be taken immediately away from sale.
€ 3,000 upon signing the reserve contract - + 30 days: The deposit of 25% minus the reserve fee.
- + 90 days: An additional 25%
- Balance: On completion at the Notary.
